Jewish GI's: Cpl. Ian Jack Franks

Ian Jack Franks was born on September 28, 1946. He was raised in New York, NY and enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. On March 23, 1968, he was killed in action. Ian was part of a helicopter crew, and his helicopter crashed over non-hostile territory in Phong Dinh, South Vietnam. Ian died while he was missing in action, and to this day his body has not been recovered. His name appears on the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. (Panel: 45E, Line: 063), as well as in our Online War Memorial. May his memory be a blessing.
